Scheduled System Maintenance - Sunday 15th May

We have System Maintenance scheduled from 1am - 5am (AEST) on Sunday 15th May.


During this time, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Phone Banking and Web Applications will be unavailable. Restricted ATM services will be available during the maintenance period however we recommend you pre-plan your withdrawals.

 

We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused and look forward to improving your banking experience with us.

New Online Banking Unveiled

We’re excited to unveil the new Online Banking to all of our members.

From today, 19 April 2016 you will notice a new design and upgraded functionality when you login to Online Banking. 

What to expect

We've introduced a fresh new look that is easier than ever to use.

  • Simplified menus allowing to make payments more easily
  • New look landing page where you can see a snapshot of all your accounts in one place
  • Ability to personalise your view with drag and drop modules
  • Flexibility for you to personalise your account names and the order in which they are displayed
  • Personalised special offers direct to your online banking

Importantly, the new platform unlocks greater potential for us to deliver new functionality and services to members in future. 

FAQs

Will my login details or password change?

No, there will be no changes to the existing details you use to login to Online Banking.
 

I don’t currently have access, how can I get started?
It’s easy, simply call 1300 000 775 and we’ll get you set-up over the phone.
 

Can I change my access code?
Yes, you can personalise your access code once logged in, under ‘My Preferences’.
 

I have a bookmark set, will this change?
If you have bookmarked our previous Online Banking login page this will update automatically.
 

Will my future payments I set-up in the previous Online Banking carry over?
Yes, there are no changes to your future, scheduled payments or payees as part of the upgrade.

Mandatory SMS Security Codes arrive 4 May

Starting 4 May this year, SMS Security Codes will become a mandatory feature for all members using online banking. This means that from 4 May, you will only be able to make an external payment to new payees and billers using an SMS Security Code.

An SMS Security Code is a 6-digit code sent via SMS to your mobile phone. It is designed to provide extra protection when transacting online by ensuring that you are the one who has authorised the payment.

Check your mobile details ASAP!

Please be aware: if you haven't already opted-in, you will be automatically registered for SMS Security Codes on 4 May. To ensure the SMS Security Codes are sent to your mobile phone, it is important we have your correct number. We recommend you check your details through Online Banking.

To update your contact details on Online Banking, follow these steps:

1.  Login to Online Banking. Hover over ‘More Services’, then click ‘Update Details’.

2.  Select ‘Contact Details’ to add or change your contact number/s.

3.  When complete, click ‘Update’.

Alternatively, you can call us on 1300 000 775 and we can update your details over the phone.

Want to get set-up for SMS Security Codes now? Here’s how.

1.   Login to Online Banking. Hover over ‘More Services’, then click ‘Security Option’.

2.   Select the mobile number you wish to use.

3.   After clicking ‘Request’ you will be taken to a confirmation screen. Click ‘OK ‘to confirm.

4.   You're now registered for SMS Security Codes!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is SMS Security Codes?
SMS Security Codes are six digit codes sent to your mobile phone via SMS. This code is required when making certain transactions via Online Banking. A different code is generated each time you attempt to complete these transactions.

How will SMS Security Codes work?
When you make a payment to a new payee or biller, you will be prompted to request an SMS Security Code. This Code will come to you via text message within 20 seconds. When you receive the Code, you will need to enter it when prompted by Online Banking to complete the transaction. If you do not enter the SMS Security Code, the transaction will not be processed by RSL Money.

Is this an optional feature?
Yes, this is a new service that RSL Money is providing to our members. In the future, we plan to make this a mandatory feature.

When will I need an SMS Security Code?
You will need a Code when you are transferring money to a new payee or biller via Online Banking. Making payments to a payee or biller saved in your Online Banking personal payee list will not require an SMS Security Code.

Do I need an SMS Security Code to transfer between my own accounts?
SMS Security Codes are not required to transfer between your own accounts.

How much do SMS Security Codes cost?
SMS Security Codes are free for all RSL Money members. Your mobile provider may charge you for the text message.

Can I receive SMS Security Codes anywhere in the world?
SMS Security Codes are available anywhere you can receive a standard text message provided it is sent to an Australian mobile phone number. RSL Money does not send SMS to non-Australian mobile numbers. For details on receiving SMS while overseas and whether you will incur any additional charges, please contact your mobile phone service provider.

What happens if I’m being deployed or posted overseas?
Keeping your personal payees up to date will ensure that all your regular payees and billers can be used without requiring an SMS Security Code. SMS Security Codes will also be able to be temporarily disabled to ensure unexpected transfers can be made and new payees/billers can be saved for future use. Please contact us if you need SMS Security Codes temporarily disabled.

How long does it take for me to receive my SMS Security Code?
You should receive your SMS Security Code within 20 seconds. If you have not received your SMS Security Code within this time, log out and back in to Online Banking and restart your transaction. Delays may be experienced during periods of high usage.

How do I update my mobile number that is registered for SMS?
To change your SMS Security Code mobile phone number, contact your nearest branch or call 1300 000 775.

Can I use the same mobile number on two different Online Banking logins?
Yes.

Can I use the same mobile number for SMS Security Codes, SMS alerts, and for RSL Money to call me?
Yes, you can use the same number for all three services.
